Packet Pick Up Options

Pick up your race packet at Isaac Dickson Elementary, 125 Hill St. Asheville

  • January 24th Friday 3-7pm
  • January 25th Saturday 7-8:45am

There is NO Race Day registration for the 5k, 10k or Half Marathon. All registration is online through Race Roster.

There IS race day registration for the 1k and Marshmallow Dash IF THE EVENTS ARE NOT SOLD OUT.

You may pick up your friends and families race packet. Please make sure they are aware and that you know the name they registered under. Please don’t arrive early and don’t be late. We need time to set up and we close promptly at the finish times. Thanks for understanding and respecting our volunteers time.

Swag

Pre-purchased swag will be available for pick up at either time.

Additional swag will be for sale at either time.

Long sleeved technical T-shirt, custom bib and Finisher medals for 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon.

Reusable Water Bottles!

Refund Policy

NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.

The funds raised from The Hot Chocolates Races benefits the students, teachers and staff at Isaac Dickson Elementary School, an Asheville City School. The Asheville Hot Chocolate Races, the Isaac Dickson Parent Teacher Organization and Kick It Events have a no refund policy.

Please see the guidelines below.

  • Adding on the “Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program” is a service provided outside of Kick It Events and the Isaac Dickson PTO. This purchase is subject to the Protecht Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.
  • No refunds will be given if you signed up for this race by accident. Double check the city, date and time BEFORE registering.
  • If the event needs to be canceled due to a global pandemic or health emergency, there will be no refund (date of cancelation dependent). We will do our best with a virtual event or socially distanced race.

Postponement

  • In the event of inclement weather, the event will be postponed to February 1 or February 8, at the race directors discretion. There will be NO REFUNDS if the event needs to be postponed to either of those dates. That date will be chosen based on weather considerations and is at the discretion of Kick It Events and the Isaac Dickson PTO.
  • Inclement weather determination is at the discretion of the race directors and the IDES PTO. We are looking for dangerous conditions for our runners and volunteers.
  • The postponement announcement will be made as early as we can. If there is surprise weather we reserve the right to postpone the race up until race morning. A Postponement announcement will be by 5am race morning at the very latest.
  • In the event the race is postponed and you would like your race swag mailed to you, you will be required to pay the shipping cost for your race bib and race swag.
  • Race postponement information will be emailed out to runners using the email used during registration, posted on the race website (www.hochocolateraces.com) as well as posted on our social media platforms. Race updates will be sent to the email address you registered with. Always make sure that your email is correct.
  • In the event that the postponement date needs to be canceled, there will not be another postponement and there will not be any refunds.

Transfers

  • You may transfer your registration to another runner or to a different distance up to 5 days before the event using the transfer button on the registration page. After the 5 day cut off please reach out to Info@kickitevents.com for help with transferring.
  • If you wish to move to a virtual runner status, you will be required to pay the shipping cost for your race bib and race swag. Race swag will be shipped out the week AFTER the event.
